Timothy Spall: Back at Sea Rough Cuts. All work and no play....
If you could give some festive advice to people wanting to get on in telly what would it be?
Bring something different to the party - have skills, experience and qualifications that aren't related to media.
What is the worst idea for a tv programme you've heard about this year?
Can't remember it fully but it was something to do with Tamil Tigers in Bromley. Actually it sounds quite good now.
Paul Crompton has been a factual producer for 20 years. He is co-owner, with actor TImothy Spall, of indie Barge Pole Productions, which they formed in April 2011. As well as running Barge Pole, Paul is also a freelance Executive Producer overseeing ob doc series for Channel 5, CBBC and BBC1.
