1. What has been your favourite programme of the year?
I had nothing to do with its making so am talking purely as a viewer but it has to be Educating Essex. A chance to marvel at the everyday heroics of teachers and there was something very reassuring that teenagers are just as they were when I was one. They just have apps to help them!
2. What will you definitely be sitting down to watch at Christmas?
OK so this is partisan but it has to be TwoFour’s “So this is Christmas” Catch it on Christmas Day.
3. If you could give some festive advice to people wanting to get on in TV what would it be?
Never stop trying. It’s hard, you need luck, it lacks financial stability in the beginning with short contracts and “work experience” but you can control how much you want it to happen. Television thrives on new and fresh talent – why can’t that be you?
