What has been your favourite programme of the year?

Outline made a show for Channel 4 recently called Go Greek For a Week, which was naughty and slightly trouble making and we are very proud of it. It went from commission to transmission in less than a month. Of other people’s shows, I’ve been loving Million Pound Drop. The casting is brilliant, its highly entertaining and although it looks really simple, the interactivity they’ve put in place is a total game changer and has finally got everyone to realize two screens are better than one.

What will you definitely be sitting down to watch at Christmas?

Shameless plug, but this Christmas I’ll be sitting down to watch our ‘EMERGENCY WITH ANGELA GRIFFIN’ Christmas Special on Sky 1 on 21st December 8pm. Do Sky plus it! It’s an immersive documentary where Angela Griffin experiences what the paramedics in Glasgow and Cardiff have to put up with when the rest of us are partying and there’s a 30% boost to calls - drunkenness, heart attacks, car crashes… and somehow retain a sense of calm and humour about the whole thing. www.sky1.sky.com

If you could give some festive advice to people wanting to get on in TV what would it be?

Take a proper break from work. Watch loads and loads of telly on the sofa and stop making it for a few days.  I’m always amazed by people who want to work in telly and don’t totally  love it as a medium and want to watch as much of it as possible!
