Studio Lambert has parted ways with Gogglebox co-creator and showrunner Tania Alexander after more than a decade.

Alexander, who has been the All3Media-owned director of factual entertainment for six years, is leaving mid-way through the filming of the current series for reasons undisclosed.

As the driving force behind seven years and 16 series of the Channel 4’s hit TV-watching show, which she developed with founder Stephen Lambert and creative director Tim Harcourt, she has expanded the brand into Celebrity Gogglebox and various specials as well as international versions.

Alexander’s other Studio Lambert shows include Undercover Boss and Seven Days and she has also worked on formats for Sunset+Vine, Endemol Shine Group and RDF Media.

Deputy creative director Mike Cotton and executive producer Leon Campbell are overseeing the remaining editions of the current run, which is averaging close to 6m after seven days consolidated viewing.

A Studio Lambert spokeswoman said: “We wish Tania success with her future projects.”
