Quadrangle Film Festival invites filmmakers and film lovers down to Shoreham in Kent, on 14th - 16th September, where bales of hay will become cinema seats as a great selection of documentaries are screened accross the weekend. They're also hosting behind the scene discussions and 'Bring Your Own Film' sessions.

Take a look at this year's programme to see what's on the cards.

Tickets are strictly limited to 150. To book, go to: quadranglefilmfest.eventbrite.com

At the Quadrangle Film Festival documentary filmmakers get together for a weekend to watch films and share ideas away from the commercial pressures of broadcast television and pitching competitions. It's a retreat experience for the documentary old guard, the student vanguard, and everyone in between, where the documentary form is questioned and challenged, where ideas are exchanged, and hopefully we come away inspired and rejuvenated. Set up in 2011, the idea found its natural home at The Quadrangle- a collection of 19th century farm buildings in Kent, with its own meadow for camping, its own river for swimming in, and its own set of barns, stables and granaries for screenings, discussions and workshops.

On 14th September 2012, we'll be doing it again. We'll be showing new films hand-picked by our selection panel, and there'll be some old 'lost gems' presented by directors who have been inspired by them. There'll be sessions in the granary to stimulate and intrigue you, the stables will be converted (once again) to micro-cinemas, and the Cinema in the Field will re-open its doors. Food will be local, the bar well-stocked and if it all gets too much you can always just head out and walk along the downs or swim in the river.

This year, the Quadrangle are very proud to welcome a special guest, legendary Iranian director Mohsen Makhmalbaf, who will be screening his landmark film Salaam Cinema.
