freelancer tax question - how do I report income once NEST has been deducted??

I'm a freelance producer with the BBC paid gross. However my NEST pension contributions are deducted by the BBC from my pay check. What do I report to HMRC as my income, the amount of the original invoice or the amount that I actually receive into my bank account after the nest deduction.
