DSLR Camera

Hello,

Does anyone have any recommendations for what type of DSLR camera to buy, as someone who is looking to develop their self shooting skills? This might be a stretch but I am looking for a trusted model of camera but also one that is not excessively expensive. I would be grateful for any advice on this matter.
