I worked with Zoe Rippin on both 'Bargain Hunt' and 'See Hear' at BBC Bristol. On 'See Hear', she has been a key point of contact for the team, as she is the sole PC and only member of Production Management staff based in the office full time. She manages the entire filming budget herself, accurately reporting to me for month end, and refers up when necessary. She manages the complex post production schedule, and is always across every detail, ensuring we hit our topical delivery every month. She’s incredibly proactive, conscientious and efficient and is always one step ahead, fully thinking through the consequence of every suggested change in the schedule, which can be a lot, given all of the additional accessibility issues on the series. She’s learnt to sign in order to better communicate with the deaf staff on the team. She took on an extra audience focused event on top of her day job with no complaints, and worked incredibly hard to pull it off successfully. She’s often solved a problem before I even hear about it, and she’s got a very good grasp of compliance/editorial policy issues, so flags things before they become problematic. She is totally reliable, incredibly competent, and is really instrumental to me, as I am only on the project 2 days a week.
