Gary is a rare talent - a multi-skilled AP who is both technically very proficient (in sound/jib op and complex data wrangling) and editorially switched on. He works tremendously hard - and always with a smile - which is great to put contributors at ease and keep fellow crew entertained. He's a great team player, resourceful, creative and very versatile. Highly recommend.
On location Gary is faultless. Lots of energy and humour to keep the crew going and strong organisational skills to keep things running on time and efficiently. Gary has also recorded sound for me when I’m self-shooting - He’s confident using a mixer, radio mics and boom.
He’s not scared to pitch in with creative ideas, he’s great with people and has the attributes to make a strong researcher.
I would strongy consider him on any production.
