Fran has worked on two series for me. Wonders of the Moon with Dara O'Briain for Channel 5 and The Sky at Night for BBC4.

Fran is an exceptionally strong self shooter and produced some great and visually stunning sequences for both series (she shot the entire episode of The Sky at Night with an AP doing second camera). This was a film in the Chilean desert and was extremely challenging - I thought she did an amazing job.

Fran also directed crew for the Moon series and - again - produced some very beautiful sequences. She also worked with presenters across both series and was great with contributers.

Fran is a team player and was great to work with. She also supported and nurtured a very inexperienced AP in the Moon series.

Overall Fran is very impressive and I'd be happy to hire her on any of my future projects.

She is a highly experienced Producer with the ability to tackle any editorial challenge that is thrown her way. Fran worked as my AP over three episodes of the Then & Now primetime documentary series for Channel 5.

Fran was a complete joy to work with, demonstrating excellent research and story producing skills during pre-production, as well as setting up one of the episodes almost single handedly which included negotiating tricky access with organisations and individuals who are wary of television.

On location Fran proved to be resourceful, has an ability to think on her feet and will willingly take on any task required without complaint. Across the series she took on directing responsibilities, did camera and sound work to a high standard along with drone observing in congested and difficult flight areas. She also took on the responsibility of greeting and prepping all the contributors on location.

It should also be mentioned that we were filming this series in incredibly bad weather conditions and also with Covid-19 protocols in place and Fran helped make what could have been a challenging production experience run smoothly.

I really cannot rate Fran highly enough and I hope to work with her again on future projects.
