Hi! I am an experienced researcher who is available immediately for work.
I worked for a year as an in-house researcher, with my research credits spanning a range of series for Discovery Asia, as well as short form, online content. Meridian Line Films is a specialist factual company, so my research focused mostly on scientific and historical programming. In this role, I contacted academics, read and wrote reports on academic papers and developed stories based on the science in front of me. Most notably, my pitches included short-form 'social experiment' content, as well as a personal favourite archaeologically based program, which was scientifically led. I also developed a slate of programs focusing on scientific developments in China, including writing treatments and pitching to editorial producers. I also fact-checked scripts and provided exciting facts for our presenters to use. My role also involved managing the social media and blogging.
I have experience working under-pressure to tight deadlines and adapting to new circumstances. I have experience assisting in setting up shoots in the UK and abroad. I have worked in the production office, on location and in the studio environment. I am also tech savvy, confident working to a high level with Excel, as well as using Adobe packages. I am also self-shooting and confident recording sound on location.
I am inquisitive, a whizz on the keyboard and pride myself on my ability to build relationships with contributors and crew. I'd love to join your team! Read Less
