I’ve worked in film and television for over 25 years . As a director and producer I work closely both with presenters and members of the public, encouraging them to relax and enjoy the process of making telly, which then enables them to give their best performance to camera. I am as happy directing large crews on location, as small PSC units or self shooting. Since I have moved from Camera to directing I have also gained a lot of experience in the edit and have as a SP overseen up to 3 edits running concurrently. I have a great visual sense and write well.
My experience as a lighting cameraman has afforded me extensive technical, production and team management skills, gained running a large multi camera crew and operating as a small PSC unit.
I like to think I inspire people to work hard and give their best but also to really enjoy what they do. Allowing others to shine is particularly important when working in large teams and I really enjoy bringing a team together and making great TV. Read Less

I have worked with Sarah both in her capacity as a camera supervisor and more recently as a director. She has a strong creative vision - finely honed during her years attached to a camera - combined with a good editorial sense. She knows how to build a team and is also a great team player. She is well versed at putting contributors at their ease and strikes up strong working relationships with talent quickly. She is equally at home directing single camera on location as she is directing multi camera in a studio set up. Sarah is collaborative and a creative problem solver when it comes to those unexpected challenges which are thrown her way. I thoroughly enjoyed working together and look forward to the next time.
Sarah has a terrific eye for detail and her vision gave the series its distinctive look and feel. She is also full of ideas for how to tell stories and how to set the right tone for the editorial. She has a knack of bringing out the very best in the talent and she runs an efficient and happy team. We will definitely work together again.
Sarah made our show look incredibly glossy and lovingly crafted. She was passionate about the shots and also about the content. The big set pieces were brilliantly covered with a wealth of shots to choose from that created a high end look. She was also absolutely lovely to work with!
Sarah is a joy to work with. She is the real deal - an expert in her field. With a previous career as a camera operator behind her, Sarah has a predictably amazing eye. She directs crew and talent with creativity, tact, humour and most importantly clarity; everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing when they are on Team Myland. Sarah has a fantastic network of loyal and talented craft and production talent who choose to work with her whenever the opportunity arises. She is supportive, knowledgable and organised. She treats everyone with respect and commands the same. As a Series Producer, there is no one else I would trust to deliver the high quality content channel controllers are looking for as standard these days.
