Kosta has worked on three productions with me and has been a huge asset to each one. He is a very strong shooter with great editorial judgment and can comfortably take the lead on a story and follow it through to the end. He has negotiated some very tricky access and maintains great working relationships with contributors. Plus his sense of humour and positive 'can-do' attitude means he's a great person to have on a team.

I've worked with Kosta on three occasions and in every single instance he has made a huge and positive contribution to the success of the project with his enthusiasm, hard work and good humour. Kosta's superpower is that he is absolutely brilliant with people. People immediately trust him and like him. He gets on with the trickiest of contributors and he is consistently good with people across the duration of a production.

Kosta also has his own kit and self-shoots to a very high standard. He can be left in the field and trusted to get what is needed for the edit to work. He has a strong sense of the editorial required to tell a story, but is also super-collaborative about how to advance the narrative. On one documentary in particular, the editorial was very complicated, not least by secret filming, but Kosta was completely across the legal guidelines and helped steer the secret filming to a successful conclusion.

Most of all, Kosta is a delightful colleague and team player, who is always up for the challenge of making the impossible possible with his quick humour and wonderful optimism.

Had the pleasure of working with a lot of Kosta's rushes on a long form obs. doc and they were a joy to use. He builds a terrific rapport with contributors, with a calm and easygoing manner, but is very sharp and strong editorially, always mining scenes with clarity and purpose, while being agile and flexible enough to quickly adapt to and capture the unexpected. He also has a great eye for drawing out humour, in even the most unlikely and seemingly mundane scenarios, and his footage looks great and cuts together beautifully. If I could book him every time, I would!
