An adaptable and versatile Producer/Director & Edit Producer with a passion for original storytelling, working across genres including Features, Living History, Arts, Docs, Daytime and Development. I have experience across a broad range of non-scripted specialist and popular factual productions for Channel 4, BBC4, BBC2, BBC1, BBC3 and BBC Wales.
My interests span social history, heritage, literature, and arts, always striving to uncover new stories to tell on-screen with brilliant real characters at their heart.
single and multi-camera directing - directing crews in a wide variety of scenarios including boat-to-boat, working farms, ensemble cast, reconstruction, talking head interviews, sensitive access, animals, children & adults with special care needs
producing and directing on-screen talent - whether high profile presenters, experts and contributors - producing the best performance on location to tight schedules and in complex setups
scripting - across various subjects and for diverse audiences from 60 minute social history docs, VTs about farming, food, biographies, histories and gardens, 45 minute antiques formats to obs-doc investigations and living history
edit-producing - including complex long edits, multi-edits, fast turnaround to tight broadcast deadlines and budgets, and undertaking post production: dubs, grades and comm records
casting & access - whether sensitive and controversial topics, popular ‘of the moment’ trends, or niche subject matter, casting everyone from celebrities, academics, experts, specialists, the general public, and actors for historical reconstruction
archive - sourcing specialist archive at competitive rates and finding material in private hands. Using unique archive footage creatively to compliment different narratives.
locations - finding the right place, often at short notice and fee-free from grand stately houses, specialist vehicles, castles, military bases, working ports, factories, onboard trains, museums, archives, farms, to private premises and homes
sound & self shooting - mixing and recording location sound with 302 mixer / radio mics / boom, 2nd camera, talking head interviews, GVs for broadcast with XF305 / C300 / FS7 trained/ GoPros

Eve is a resourceful, adaptable programme-maker who combines intelligence and flair. Her work is always rigorous editorially but comes packaged in real creativity. Give her any story and she will invariably find a fresh angle or thoughtful new take on it. She is good with on-screen talent and brings the best out in contributors of all kinds. Eve is highly collaborative in the production process and understands the needs of channels and commissioners. An all-round asset who can be thoroughly relied on to deliver.
Eve has proven to be a good story teller and director. She has great visual flair and scripting skills demonstrated by the insert films she has produced and directed on Flog It. She has a friendly and openness in her managing style and everyone enjoyed working with Eve - a great people person as well as director/producer
Eve White is a talented and creative Director who is well on her way to becoming a first-rate Producer/Director with all the required skills needed for that job. Eve has a wonderful way of seeing the world, a clarity of thought that one rarely sees and this enables her to pierce through a complicated story and deliver entertaining and creative films. She is fearless and happy to tackle all subjects like the Robert Burns Poem 'Tam O Shanter'; H.G. Wells' famous book, War of the Worlds and the life of former British Prime Minister, Harold Wilson. As well as being creative, Eve is efficient and well organised and happy to work with or without a presenter. Eve is an excellent and popular member of the production team; in essence a joy to work with.
