Rebecca is a very talented producer-director with a brilliant visually-creative eye and an exciting approach to the editorial. Not a frame was wasted within a very limited filming period & she struck exactly the right tone with contributors' interviews. She immersed herself in the subject matter to produce a wonderful royal history film for us at Yeti.
I was really impressed with Rebecca's passion and commitment to the project. She had real integrity in her vision for the film and was a pleasure to work with.
Rebecca was a joy to work with. She completely understands what's needed to craft a film and it doesn't matter what obstacles are put in her way, she comes up with the goods. She's incredibly well organised - a team player who knows how to plan a shoot, direct beautiful sequences, telling important stories in engaging and meaningful ways.
Rebecca is without doubt one of the best Producers I've ever worked with. Insightful, smart and funny, her programmes are well structured with developing narratives and emotional impact. A self starter who is very low maintenance, Rebecca is a great team player, who nurtured less experienced members of the team.
Rebecca is a versatile, intelligent director with a witty eye; a good storyteller who brings real commitment to the projects she works on. There is always a warmth and humour to her programme making. She is flexible and collaborative editorially and a big team player - trusted and well-liked by those who work to her. Her special strength is a very strong feel for popular culture and contemporary taste. But she has also made many successful history based programmes, notable for the strand Timeshift.
I have edited numerous documentaries with Rebecca over the last 7 years. She is very creative Producer, with a distinct and fresh approach to film-making. Her ideas are innovative and demand much of the team around her, and the results she produces are just wonderful. She can tell a good, compelling story-with people at its heart, without compromising ideas and can something that most people overlook. I have found working with her, that she can put her hand to any style of documentary making-obs doc, format, interview/essay, daytime features. Nearly every type. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a strong filmmaker with fantastic ideas-who can get things done on time and on budget without compromising the storytelling. Furthermore she is just fabulous to work with.
Rebecca is a brilliant Edit Producer. She gets to grips with the material very quickly, and brings wonderfully fresh editorial ideas. She receives notes very well and collaboratively - and works quickly to generate new ideas in response. She’s very professional, organised and simply lovely to be around. Can’t recommend her highly enough and would certainly love to work with her again.
Rebecca was the lead edit producer on the first two programmes for the new series we made with BBC, as ever polishing a new format is never easy and she did a great job. Diligent, hard working, creative, wrote well, had good ideas, team player and delivered to time the films she was expected to cut, despite all the editorial changes that come with crafting a new series.
