About Us

NBC Universal International Television Production (TVP) was created in 2008 with the acquisition of UK production company Carnival Films, the company's first major strategic move into production outside the US.

Carnival is the producer of the ratings phenomenon, Downton Abbey for ITV, which is the most successful launch of a new series since 2007. Carnival's recent productions include Any Human Heart for C4 and Whitechapel for ITV.
In 2010 TVP acquired Monkey Kingdom, a leading independent production company and proven innovator in non-scripted and entertainment formats. Chocolate Media was set up in 2011 as a home for factual and entertainment programmes. Working Title Television is also part of the group, creating world class drama productions such as the recent adaptation of Birdsong for the BBC.

TVP is targeted with transforming NBC Universal International into a leading destination for content creators and to drive profitable organic and acquisitive growth through world class international content with high production values.
