Humble Bee Films

About Us

Humble Bee Films is an independent production company based in Bristol. Founded in 2010 by CEO Stephen Dunleavy, Humble Bee Films has built a reputation for going beyond the traditional nature documentary format, to tell great stories with passion, creativity and a strong visual style.

Our beautiful, bespoke films are underpinned by the latest science; from crafted landmarks to character-led serialised dramas and long-running formats, including Attenborough’s Life in Colour (BBC & Netflix), Wild Babies (Netflix), David Attenborough’s Natural Curiosities (BBC & UKTV), Attenborough and the Giant Elephant (BBC) and the recently announced Sounds of Nature (Sky, Netflix & CBC).

We are excited to reveal Sir David Attenborough is fronting our ground-breaking 3-part series, Secret World of Sound, set to air in 2024 on Sky Documentaries, Netflix and CBC.

Alongside Secret World of Sound, our team is now busy on another exciting blue chip series Airborne, for Sky Documentaries and Blue Ant Media.
